Unicef for every child #EatPlayLove

Event

In support of Unicef ’s initiatives to educate the public about the importance of ‘ Eat . Play . Love’ in early childhood development, Oval designed and produced installations under the theme – ‘for every child, #EatPlayLove’. We focused on the idea of ‘free play’ that developed innovative and interactive play systems that would allow children to create and experience. An ‘ Imagination Playground’ with two play zones for different age groups of kids was designed to exercise creativity. Children were encouraged to build their own toys by playing together with other kids. There was also a “CREATIVE PLAY@HOME” area placing inexpensive and simple props at home such as toilet paper rolls and cooking utensils which transformed to creative toys that ignitedchildren’s imagination to play at home. Parents could observe their children’s behaviors during the play session and joined specific workshops in which they could learn to make their own creative toys with their kids.

Extensive use of graphic patterns and vibrant color were applied to create visual stimulation. Extra safety precautions were also taken to ensure that children could explore and play freely in a safe environment. Sharp edges and corners were avoided and protective cushions were added to enhance safety.

Moreover, to facilitate the delivery of the campaign’s key messages, information graphics on early childhood development were displayed throughout the area for parents and caregivers’ reference. The colorful giant blocks structure with fun filled content not only captured the visitors’ attentions but also created a perfect backdrop for phototaking and sharing in social media that helped maximize the event exposure.
